HOW
CHARGER CIRCUIT WORKS
The Charger
Unit coupled with Electronic Circuit charges the Battery till
it is fully charged. An electronic overcharge cut out stops
further charging of Battery thus preventing damage to the Battery.
The example
could be just as in any Water Tank. Once the water gets filled
up to a specific mark, the BALL COCK stops water inflow. This
is a mechanical phenomenon. In Inverter similar action is achieved
electronically.
Automatic
Changeover from M.S.E.B. to Inverter (during power failure)
& from Inverter to M.S.E.B. (after power resumes)
HOW CONTROL CIRCUIT WORKS
A Control
unit is responsible for all the activities of Charger and Inverter
Circuits. It is just like a Mini Computer that acts automatically
through the set of desired commands.
It directs
the Charger Circuit to charge the Battery during Mains presence.
It starts Inverter Circuit upon power failure.
It also
constantly monitors the current consumption and load on Inverter.
If by any reason there is an excessive load on Inverter it immediately
steps in and protects Inverter.
The Control
Circuit should in short perform following works:
- Direct
Charger to charge the Battery during presence of Electricity
and stop charging once Battery is completely charged.
- Monitor
the input and output current.
- Direct
Inverter to generate electricity upon Power Failure.
- Protect
& Synchronize the Electronic & Electrical Circuit
during crisis.
HOW
INVERTER WORKS
Inverter's
working is completely opposite to that of Charger.
The word
Invert means to reverse. Basically Inverter takes DC Power from
Battery, converts it into AC Power and steps up the Voltage
from 12 Volts to 230 Volts. This is done by DC to AC conversion
Technology & step up Transformer.
This takes
hardly 0.25 seconds so as soon as power fails, immediately power
from Inverter, is given to the load without any smoke or noise.
This automatic feature gives an edge over the contemporary generators
that require a manual start.
In this
process of Inverter operation, Inverter discharges the Battery.
It is advisable to stop the Battery from further discharging,
once the Battery attains a desired Low Voltage, since further
discharging would damage the Battery.
This Low
or Min Voltage is to be considered. Hence an ideal Inverter
should have a Low Voltage cut out or DRAIN Preventor to enhance
life of Battery. Following are some of the Frequently
Asked Questions which are answered for your better understanding:
1. What
is your Product ?
We are manufacturing Power Inverters in the brand name "NOVAPRO",
which can be used as an alternate power source in case of utility
supply failure.
2. How long
you are in this field ?
We are in this field for the for the last 13 years.
3. How does
"NOVA-pro" works ?
The Power Inverter is connected between the MSEB supply and
the Gadgets like Tubelights and Fans.
During Mains
supply, it gives the same electrical supply to the Gadgets and
charges the Battery till the Battery is fully charged. "NOVAPRO"
has a regulated in-built Battery charger (which converts the
AC Mains supply to DC) to charge the Battery.
During power
failure the stored energy in the Battery (DC supply) is converted
to AC through Inverter & you get the AC supply within fractions
of second. There is no noticeable difference.
4. What
is the difference between Diesel / Petrol Generator & your
Power Inverter NOVAPRO?
DG is a total different concept. In Diesel Generator you create
the electrical energy by means of Diesel & Petrol. You have
to start the Generator manually by pressing button or pulling
chord. It gives heavy noise & smoke. It is not automatic
and has heavy maintenance. It is very costly as per hour, it
costs around Rs.15 to Rs.25.
Whereas
Power Inverter is fully automatic i.e. it starts automatically
on Power failure and stops after the power resumes. It is Pollution
free, smoke & noise free and also requires low maintenance.
It is very cost effective as its per hour cost is 50 paise to
2 rupee.
5. How is
it connected ? Is any wiring required for it ?
It is connected to the desired electrical points via a single
wire to the particular switch / switches via an Inverter.
The phase
wire of MSEB or SEB (State Electricity Board) is removed and
at the same place the phase wire coming through Inverter is
connected. This ensures that the Inverter is in series to the
load. Hence during Power supply the switch/switches get the
MSEB phase connection via an Inverter and upon Power failure
the Inverter supplies the phase to the corresponding points
within fractions of seconds, thereby giving an uninterrupted
supply.
6. Is the
parallel wiring possible in case we have a Concealed or Fall
Ceiling wiring ?
Yes, in case of Concealed or Fall Ceiling. Parallel wiring for
Power Inverter NOVAPRO is possible.
Click here to view the Wiring Diagram.
7. Do you
have various models ? How can we select the appropriate model
suitable to serve our purpose ?
Yes, we have various models for Power Inverter NOVAPRO which
can suit your purpose. It is suitable for homes, Office, Hospitals,
Shops, Banks, etc.
8. Why are
the costs on higher side compared to Competition ?
Please refer to our Web page "Reasons
why you feel our cost are high"
9. Do you
supply the Battery alongwith Inverter ? What is the cost of
Battery ? How long will it work ?
Yes we supply the different makes of Tubular Battery along with
the Inverter. But the Batteries are not manufactured by us hence
for prices please contact personally. The back up time depends
on various factors. Normally it is 3 to 4 hours.
10. Does
Battery requires any maintenance ? What type of maintenance
it required ? Do you give the maintenance
service ? What is the cost of the same ?
Yes, the Battery requires maintenance like putting distilled
water in the battery cells, cleaning the carbon deposits on
the Battery terminals & poles, applying of petroleum jelly,
etc. All
these activities are done, to keep the Battery in good running
condition.
We gladly render the 12 monthly battery maintenance services
to our Customers absolutly FREE. 85% of our Customers are enjoying
our services since Installations. (For more details, contact
personally on Phone (95251) 2207095 during Office hours:
10.00 a.m. to 6.00 p.m. Inverter AMC also taken, after One year's
guarantee)
11.What are the frequent types of Complaints arising in the
Inverter ? Do you give the After
sales service ? In what way ?
The Frequent types of Complaints arising in the Inverter are
as follows:
Battery Terminal Damaged, Fuse Blown, Fuse holder burnt, M.C.B.
Tripping frequently The Front Switch (Rocker) Broken Toggle
switch broken Delayed start or Late operation Loose contact.
We give
the after sales service to our Customers. For the purpose, we
have specially trained technicians / Engineers. The complaints
of the Customers in town and around areas are attended on the
same day of Complaint receipt, within a couple of hours. Only
the distant Clients complaints are attended on the next day.
12. How
should we make a Complaint ? When will it be attended ?
You can make your Complaints via Telephone 2207095 during Office

13. What
are the charges taken for the Service ? Do you charge within
Guarantee period, if the Unit has a major breakdown ?
In what circumstances, the Guarantee is assumed to be void ?
Our charges are very nominal as we believe in Customer satisfaction
which leads to our satisfaction. For every Complaint attended,
Visiting charges of only Rs.100/- plus components replaced is
charged.
No, we do
not charge during Guarantee period even if the Unit has a major
breakdown. But guarantee is treated to be void in case the breakdown
is caused due to negligence, misuse, faulty care, or if caused
due to repairs done by an unauthorised person.
Guarantee does not cover the wiring done for Inverter, hence
wiring complaint during Guarantee period will be charged (excluding
visiting charges)
